The 13th of June 2020 marks our two year anniversary of being the first Garden to Table School in the Western Suburbs.
What an amazing journey it has been from establishing our garden from scratch from a bare piece of unused ground to a productive vegetable garden.

Our Garden Specialist is John McCrystal and our Kitchen Specialist is Estelle Henrys.
What is Garden to Table?
Garden to Table was Established in 2008, and now works with over 6,000 primary-school-aged tamariki all across New Zealand, helping them discover a love for fresh food and skills that will last a lifetime. Each Wednesday Room 2 spends the morning at GTT class. Half of the tamariki work in the garden and the other half prepare the bounty from the garden for a shared meal.
Dig for Victory
Garden to Table created a garden based on a WW2 garden in the grounds of Parliament to commemorate WW2. Each school had an assigned area. Cardinal McKeefry School had to plant red cabbage, savoy cabbage, golden cabbage and celery. We were invited back to harvest the garden. You can learn more about this event here: Dig for Victory
