A God’s eye
(in Spanish Ojo de Dios)
A God’s eye is a spiritual object made by weaving a design out of wool on a wooden cross. They are commonly found in Mexican communities. God’s eyes were placed where people worked or where they walked along a trail. The God’s eye would protect people while they prayed. Today during Library lunchtime the students learnt how to make a God’s eye. They turned out so colourful and unique. Please feel free to come and see them on display in the library.
