Room 2 received a prize for their awesome Volcano level entry in the UpStart Angry birds competition
It was exciting when we were building the angry birds because we got to build an angry birds game. We built 3D shapes and we put coloured paper around them to make them look like rocks and lava from a volcano. It was awesome that we got to fire at the pigs with the birds that we made. Drew
Swopping, soaring, flying red bird into a TNT pyramid. A pig fell over into the dark red lava as the red and blue won the volcano level. Flash – another level. Darcey and Helen
“Fire! “. “Yay, we hit a pig!” we all shouted as an angry bird went flying into a dark green pig. After that everything just collapsed. We did this all on our angry birds level for the Upstart competition and guess what? We won amazing prizes, and we are all going to the movies on Monday to celebrate with our movie passes that we won. Luca and Tino
We were getting ready for Jump Jam when Mrs Savage strides into the room with a humungous parcel. We wondered what was inside the parcel, but we weren’t ready for what was about to come next. Mrs Savage exclaimed that Room 2 had won prizes in the ANGRY BIRDS COMPETITION. Grace almost fainted! I was so excited when we got Movie tickets and Bad Piggy Whoopi cushions that made farting sounds when you sit on them (or put them under someone else!) Lucas

The school has been informed by our Returning Officer that, at the close of nominations at noon on Friday 20 May 2016, 4 nominations had been received for the 4 parent vacancies on the Board of Trustees and therefore no election will be required.
Therefore Janet Valentine, Moana Solia, Duncan Scott and John Wilmer have been declared duly elected as our new parent representatives. Jayne Taylor has been elected as the staff representative on the Board.
Sarah McGrath and Brendan Reidy have been nominated as Proprietors’ Representatives to join Mary Anne Peetz who is continuing in this role. Congratulations to you all!
We would also like to take this opportunity to acknowledge Clyde D’Souza, Suzanne Kargar and Jo Robb who have stepped down from the Board. We thank them for their contribution to the governance of the school over a number of years.
